A quirquincho or Andean armadillo. The species still inhabits some portions of Oruro Province. Nocturnal and omnivorous, this species is endangered.

 

In the mountains of the tropical Alto Beni region, a rainbow stands as a gift of nature.

 

Rivers are one important source of communication in the Amazon region of Bolivia. Not only do they provide food and scenery, but are also the main "roads" during the rainy season.
