HORIZON'S PLAN OF ACTION
FOR THE FOLLOWING YEAR

A Plan of Action Committee is working to establish priorities in all areas that HORIZON is involved in and set out benchmarks and goals for HORIZON interns, volunteers and what we can achieve with co-operating organizations. The Committee seeks input not only from HORIZON Scientific Review Board members and other Reviewers, Board Members, and Associates, but from all who wish to provide ideas for the organization to strengthen its work in the world. The draft of the Plan will be published for comment.

The Committee is composed of three HORIZON Interns: Dean Wu, MD, MPH, who is HORIZON's Acting Research Director Health and Population; Krishanti Vignarajah, MS., Yale; and Nancy Omosa, LLD; and Janine Selendy, Chairman and President of HORIZON.

HORIZON Associates Program

There are currently 30 Interns serving with HORIZON throughout the world and hundreds of Volunteers. NetAid On-Line Volunteering has attracted hundreds of potential volunteers to HORIZON. The Interns are listed in the Newsletter along with their location. The Associates' work is extremely valuable to HORIZON's mission. In this Newsletter we begin descriptions of their experiences in their own words, featuring three Interns who are serving on the Planning Committee.
